Enso Karate Summer Camp
Enso Shotokan Karate is pleased to offer an exciting camp for children ages 5-12. This camp is open to children of all experience levels, including students who are new to martial arts. Campers will experience a fun-filled program of karate and fitness in the dojo. Enso Karate Summer Camp will safely introduce new students to the martial arts, and polish and expand the skills of those with previous experience.
Sensei Jay Nacu and assistant camp instructors will lead karate instruction and activities including: basics (punches, kicks, and blocks), kata (forms), kumite (sparring) drills, plyometrics (jumping drills), self-defense, obstacle courses, games, and relay races. The week concludes with a performance showcasing what children experienced in camp. Family and friends are all invited to watch.
The fee includes a snack on each day and a pizza party on Friday.
Camp Registration
Children can sign up for one or two weeks: August 9-13 and/or August 16-20, 2010. Camp goes from 9am-12:30pm, Monday through Friday. The fee for this camp for one week is $180 ($195 after June 1) or $325 ($340 after June 1) for two weeks. There is a family discount of $10 per child. The camp will be held at Enso's downtown dojo in Chicago at 719 S. State Street (metered and paylot parking is available). Registration for Enso Karate Summer Camp is now open. You can pay online with a credit by using the links below. Register by June 1, 2010 to get the early registration discount!It is optional, but recommended, that students wear a karate gi during camp. We will provide the correct size gi on the first day of camp.

If you would like to pay by cash or check, you can still register online now to reserve your spot in the camp. When you register, click "enroll as unpaid." You can mail your check to Enso, 719 S. State Street, 2N, Chicago, IL 60605. Make check payable to "Enso." Cash payments may only be made in person by appointment. Contact info@ensostudio.com to make arrangements. Current Enso Students
If you already have a credit card on file with us and wish you enroll in camp, regististration is simple. Just email info@ensostudio.com and let us know which week(s) you would like to register for. Or, simply let us know at the front desk and we can take care of your registration.
Registration Notes
- When you create a new account in our system, you will be able to create an account for yourself (parent) and then indicate other family members (children) for whom you can register for camp.
- You will be prompted to select which week(s) of camp in which you wish to enroll.
- If you are enrolling two students for camp, please use discount code FAMDISC2 ($20). If you would like to enroll more than two children, please contact us at info@ensostudio.com.
- Once your registration is complete, you will receive an email confirmation.
