Adult Karate Classes

Enso offers adult classes from beginners through advanced. Our program is traditional in that we view karate-do as a path toward self-improvement and development of spirit and character, rather than only a physical endeavor. We focus training equally on the three elements of traditional karate: kihon (basic techniques), kata (forms or formal exercises), and kumite (sparring). The physical demands of karate training develop cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. Through training, karate also helps relieve stress and builds discipline, mental focus, and awareness.

6-Week Karate Intro for Adults

Enso offers a 6-Week Karate Intro for students who are new to karate, which includes two classes per week. After completing the Intro Session, continuing students enroll in 12-week sessions. See Session Dates

How to Register

To enroll in adult classes, you can self-register online using the links above. You can also submit an online student inquiry form. New students can register anytime before the start of the session.

Payment can be made through the Enso Online Store or in person (by appointment only). Registrations are accepted on a first-come first served basis. Continuing students have priority registration over new students. Late registration may be allowed depending on available space.

Upon completion of the Karate Intro, students may enroll with the continuing karate student fees (at a prorated amount if enrolling mid-session).

Family Classes

Enso offers a number of “Family” classes in which adults and youth train together. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to learn and enjoy karate in the same class. Students from the same household who are enrolled concurrently can each take a family discount: $20 off for 1st and 2nd family members, $40 for 3rd and 4th family members.
